1950 Bowman Baseball
#75 Roy Campanella

This issue featuring Dodgers Hall-of-Fame catcher Roy Campanella is one of 252 numbered cards within the 1950 Bowman set. This set was issued in seven series of 36 cards each, with the first two being scarcer than the others. The featured card was Campanella's second-year issue.

One of the most revered members of the beloved Dodgers teams of the late 1940's and 1950's, Campanella enjoyed a stellar 10-year career (1948-1957). He was named to eight straight All Star teams (1949-1956), won three National League MVP Awards (1951, 1953, and 1955), and was a leader of the celebrated 1955 World Series championship team.

This example is very well-centered, both right-left and top-bottom. The edges and borders are clean and unabraded, all four corners are absolutely pinpoint-sharp and without a trace of wear, and the interior surface area is pristine. The print quality is outstanding, with Campanella's image crystal-clear and richly colored, and the background artwork free from any noticeable marks or blemishes. The back is lightly toned, with sharp black and red lettering. Out of a total of 664 submissions, this is one of just six examples graded MINT 9 by PSA - with none higher.
